This policy governs refund and cancellation requests for Masthead, the embeddable sports content widget provided by JK Creative LLC ("we," "us"). By purchasing Masthead, you agree to this policy. This document is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

Masthead is sold in two tiers, each combining a one-time product purchase with a recurring subscription:
The upfront payment covers the software product and the first month of service. Recurring subscription billing begins on month two and continues for eleven months, after which the contract term ends.
If Masthead is not the right fit, you may request a full refund of the upfront payment within 14 calendar days of the purchase date. The 14-day window begins on the date your payment is processed through Square — not the date you embed the widget on your site.

The 10% retained covers Square's payment-processing cost, license-key issuance, and onboarding support time associated with the refund. Refunds are issued to the original payment method on file with Square. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
When a refund is approved, your license key is revoked immediately and the widget will stop serving content on your embedded sites within 24 hours.
After 14 days, the upfront payment is non-refundable. You retain access to the product and any active subscription until the end of your current billing period.
You can cancel the recurring monthly subscription at any time. Cancellation can be initiated by:

Cancellation stops future billing. You keep access through the end of the current cycle. No money is returned for the current period.
Refund is only available within the 14-day window and returns 90% of the upfront payment. License is revoked immediately upon refund approval.
If you are within the 14-day window and want to cancel without a refund, simply cancel through Square and access continues through the end of month one.
If a recurring subscription payment fails, Square will retry per its standard schedule. If payment remains uncollected after 14 days, your license key may be suspended until the balance is resolved. A reinstated license retains the original contract end date — suspension does not extend the 12-month term.
Subscription months are not refundable on a pro-rated basis. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep the remainder of that paid month. We do not return partial-month amounts.
If Masthead suffers an extended service outage that materially affects your use, or if a defect we cannot reasonably resolve impacts your venue's operation, contact us at masthead@jkcreative.store and describe the situation. Refunds outside the standard 14-day window are discretionary, but we handle these case-by-case and aim to be fair. This does not limit any rights you may have under Washington consumer-protection law (RCW 19.86) or any mandatory consumer-protection law that applies where you reside.
We strongly prefer that you email us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We resolve virtually every refund request quickly and without involving the bank.

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your refund eligibility. Updates will be posted at masthead.jkcreative.store and dated accordingly.
